Whether you love engines or hate them, they are a necessary part of cruising the inland waterways. To some they may seem a complete mystery. The aim of this course is to demystify the diesel engine and get you comfortable with looking after your engine.
The course deals with both the preventative maintenance and regular checks need to keep your engine running well. It will also show you how to diagnose faults and get yourself going again in case of engine failure.
We will be arranging courses both at our own base, and at marinas around
the country. So if you would like to have one at your marina, let us know.
Our engineer is also happy to conduct one-to one tuition on your own
engine. This service includes an informal survey of your engine to report on
condition and possible problems and tuition in routine tasks and
preventative maintenance. Duration 3 hours.
